목적 : To evaluate the pressure equilibrium between anterior chamber and vitreous cavity with elevated intraocular pressure
방법 : This study was conducted using seven vitrectomized porcine eyes. Infusion pressures of 10 to 80 mmHg were generated with vented gas forced infusion system. Measurements of pressure were obtained with digital manometry connected with 25-gauge catheters from the anterior chamber and vitreous cavity, simultaneously. After increasing the pressure of the anterior chamber to each target with VGFI system, change of the pressure in the vitreous cavity was recorded, and vice versa. Statistical analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney U test.
결과 : The obtained intravitreal pressure was similar to the increased intracameral pressure in all cases. The obtained intracameral pressure was similar to the increased intravitreal pressure, under 50 mmHg. When increasing the intravitreal pressure to 60, 70 and 80mmHg, the obtained intracameral were 57.6, 64.0, and 69.6 mmHg, respectively. The obtained intravitreal pressures were significantly higher than obtained intravitreal pressure with controlling the pressure of the other chamber over 50 mmHg. Pupillary block was observed in case of increasing the intravitreal pressure over 50 mmHg.
결론 : The pressure of the anterior chamber can be lower than the pressure of the vitreous cavity with pupillary block. Measured intraocular pressure using a non-invasive tonometry, which reflects the intracameral pressure, can underestimate the intravitreal pressure with pupillary block.
