목적 : To analyze the correlation between various microperimetic parameters and optical coherent tomographic findings
방법 : 64 eyes were included this study: 36-eyes with retinal disease, 28-eyes with healthy subject. The difference of best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), total average threshold, average threshold in each ETDRS grid area within 3000 µm and macular integrity score in each group were analyzed. Same parameters were analyzed according to photoreceptor junctional defect. And correlation of average threshold with retina thickness in corresponding area in ETDRS grid was also analyzed.
결과 : BCVA, total average threshold, average threshold within 1000 µm and macular integrity score of health eye were significantly greater than those of retinal disease. And in eyes with ellipsoid portion of photoreceptor inner segment (ISe) defect within 1000 µm central subfield area, BCVA, macular integrity score, total average threshold, average threshold within 1000 µm and fixation stability were significantly worse, compared with eyes with intact ISe. At fovea center, nasal and inferior side of the fovea center, there was negative correlation between retinal thickness and average threshold.
결론 : Retinal sensitivity was negatively correlated with retinal thickness. And ellipsoid portion of photoreceptor inner segment defect is significantly associated poor retinal sensitivity in microperimetry. Therefore, microperimetric parameters are more sensitive and useful for evaluating the functional abnormality of retinal disease, especially in outer retinal pathology.
