목적 : To report the change of choroidal thickness after intravitreal ranibizumab injection in age-related macular degeneration (AMD)방법 : 15 eyes of 15 patients who had wet AMD were enrolled retrospectively. All patients underwent a 12 radial scanning protocol using a SD-OCT before and after ranibizumab injection. Follow-up exam was performed at 1, 3 and 5 months. For segmentation of the choroid layer, the reference lines of the retinal boundary (ILM-RPE) were adjusted to the choroidal boundary (RPE-choroid/sclera junction) in each radial B-scans. A topographic choroidal thickness map was automatically generated by built-in software. The mean value of each subfield was compared before and after ranibizumab injection. 결과 : The mean age of all patients was 65.25 ± 5.79. The mean choroidal thickness of all ETDRS subfields before treatment was 180.16±25.1μm. The choroidal thickness at one month in all subfields did not differ from that of preinjection. However, the choroidal thickenss in central, inner nasal and inner temporal subfields was significantly decreased at 3 and 5 months after injection (p < 0.05). At 5 months, all subfields showed a significant decrease of choroidal thickness compared with that of preinjection.결론 : A 12 radial scan protocol using a commercial SD-OCT provides a reliable choroidal thickness map. Our study demonstrates multiple ranibizumab injections may have an effect on the decrease of choroidal thickness, which may be one of therapeutic effects in the treatment wet AMD. |
