목적 : To measure versions in the nine cardinal positions of gaze in healthy participants.방법 : Forty-five healthy participants, ranging in 20 to 40 years(average, 28.4 years), were enrolled in this study. Maximum sustained versions in the nine cardinal positions of gaze were measured using a limbus test of Kestenbaum. All version measurements were converted into degrees of eye rotation by calculating with expected individual globe size.결과 : The normal values of versions in the nine cardinal positions of gaze were 46.2° of right eye, 49.3° of left eye in dextroversion, 39.4°,35.9° in dextoelevation, 28.4°,27,9° in elevation, 37.2°,40.5° in levoelevation, 49.2°, 49.1° in levoversion, 58.1°, 57.2° in levodepression, 49.0°, 51.1° in depression, 54.3°, 56.2° in dextodepression respectively.결론 : We identified the normal values of versions by using a modified limbus test of Kestenbaum. By further studies comparing these values with that of strabismus, it is possible to quantify abnormal versions objectively. |
