Effect of the hinge position on dry eye parameters and HOA after femtosecond laser LASIK

목적 : To evaluate the effects of hinge location on dry eye parameters and high order aberration(HOA) after femtosecond laser- assisted LASIK방법 : Eighty eyes of 40 patients who underwent the Femtosecond laser-assisted LASIK were enrolled in this study. Superior hinge group(n=40) and temporal hinge group(n=40) were compared in aspects of ocular high order aberrations, such as coma, trefoil, spherical aberration, 2nd astigmatism, quadrafoil, second coma and dry eye parameters such as schirmer I test with anesthesia, ocular surface disease index(OSDI) questionnaire, tear break-up time(TBUT), ocular surface staining.결과 : The parameter of HOA had no difference between superior hinge and temporal hinge group during follow-up’s. No significant change was noted in BUT in either group. The OSDI score and Schirmer I test with anesthesia were worsened at POD 1week and remained worsened at POD 6months in both superior and temporal hinged groups. Corneal sensation and F-staining were increased at 1week and POD 1month but recovered to preoperative status at POD 3months. There were no differences in the OSDI, Schirmer I test with anesthesia, TBUT, corneal sensation and fluorescein stain and total HOA between two groups결론 : Mild dry eye disease was present early after femtosecond laser LASIK. Hinge position had no effects on dry eye disease and visual outcome including HOA.
