목적 : To compare the objective assessment of crystalline lens density between Double-pass system and Pentacam Scheimpflug system in age-related nuclear cataract.방법 : A prospective, observer-masked study was conducted of 47 patients (70 eyes) with age-related nuclear cataract. The objective lens density (0-100 points) was determined using the Pentacam Scheimpflug system, while subjective grading was achieved using the lens opacities classification system (LOCS III). The objective scatter index (0 to 25) was assessed with Double-pass system (Optical quality analysis system,OQAS,Visiometrics SL,Tarrasa,Spain). The correlation between objective lens density, objective scatter index, LOCS III nuclear score, and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) were analyzed결과 : The mean OQAS-measured objective scatter index was 4.08±2.22 (SD)and Scheimpflug-measured lens density was 16.44 ±4.36(SD),which were positively correlated(r=0.764,p<0.01) each other. There were positive linear correlations between objective scatter index and LOCS III nuclear grading scores(NO and NO,r=0.772 and r=0.752,respectively,p<0.01),and between objective lens density and LOCS III nuclear grading scores(NO and NO,r=0.754 and r=0.748,espectively, p<0.01).BVCA was more strongly correlated with objective scatter index than with lens nuclear density(r=0.626 and r=0.583,respectively,p<0.01)결론 : The objective scatter index with double-pass system was correlated with objective lens nuclear density with Scheimpflug system and subjective lens grading system. The objective scatter index could provide objective lens opacity grading and may improve the pre-operative nuclear cataract evaluation. |
