목적 : To evaluate the surgical outcome of scleral buckling (SB) in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) for patients with pars planitis.
방법 : We retrospectively reviewed the charts of patients with RRD who underwent SB. This study enrolled 212 eyes of 212 patients, of which 32 eyes with RRD secondary to pars planitis (PP group) and 180 eyes with primary RRD (control group). Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was converted to logMAR. We compared clinical manisfestations and surgical outcomes between two groups.

결론 : Although primary retinal reattachment following SB was significantly lower in patients with RRD secondary to pars planitis, the final anatomic and visual outcome was similar between the patients with RRD secondary pars planitis and those with primary RRD.
