목적 : To summarize and discuss the case of retinal fold induced by Topiramate with spectral optical coherence tomography (OCT) findings 방법 : A 36-year-old woman complained about visual disturbance seeing things at far distance four days ago. She insisted that her best corrected visual acuity was 1.0 in both eyes before the onset of visual disturbance. Her uncorrected visual acuity was 0.06 in both eyes due to myopia (-3.25 diopter). 결과 : On the fundus examination, retinal fold was found in both eyes. Spectral domain OCT revealed that retinal fold had an internal limiting membrane condensation. She took Phendimetrazine and Topiramate daily to treat obesity. Three days after discontinuation, her visual acuity has recovered by 1.0 in both eyes. Myopia has been resolved so as the retinal fold. 결론 : Topiramate is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide and the sulfamate induced myopia is predominantly due to ciliochoroidal effusion. Recently, retinal fold induced by Topiramate was noticed in the internal limiting membrane. Consequently, spectral domain OCT are considered to be well suited for studying retinal fold induced by Topiramate
