| 수평 결막 봉합법을 이용한 원개기저결막편 섬유주절제술 |

목적 : To determine the safety, efficacy, and bleb morphology of fornix based trabeculectomy with mitomycin C (MMC) using the horizontal suture technique.
방법 : Retrospective non comparative case series in which the conjunctiva was closed with the horizontal suture technique using 10-0 nylon suture to prevent bleb leakage and to improve bleb morphology post trabeculectomy. The main outcome measures were the bleb morphology, outcome of surgery and complications post trabeculectomy.
결과 : The mean follow up period was 26.2 ± 9.5 months. Among 79 eyes, 70 eyes (87.4%) had diffuse relatively avascular blebs. Low lying bleb was found in 35 eyes (44.3%) while 39 eyes (49.4%) had moderately elevated bleb. Corneal encroachment/ overhanging blebs were found in 3 eyes (3.8%). Fifty seven eyes (72.2%) had complete success at one year while 14 eyes (17.7%) had qualified success. Bleb leakage was found in 7 eyes (8.8%). There was overfiltration in 2 eyes (2.5%) with shallow anterior chamber.
결론 : The horizontal suture technique is an easily applied, less time consuming technique which gives excellent bleb morphology and few complications in the long term.
